Flooded Basement in Devon, PA Flooded Basement in Devon, PA

This Devon, PA homeowner was constantly dealing with water in their basement, especially after it rained. They reached out to BQ Basement Systems and scheduled their FREE estimate.

Our experts assessed the flooded basement, and after consulting with the homeowner it was agreed that a three part solution would be the most effective course of action. We installed a WaterGuard drainage system, that would carry any water accumulation underneath the floors surface along the perimeter of the floor. The drainage would lead to a new TripleSafe Sump Pump, this sump pump will carry the water accumulating out of the basement and away from the homes foundation.

The last portion of this triple solution process was installing our CleanSpace Water Vapor Barrier, a liner designed specifically to prevent water vapor and humidity from passing through.

PolyLevel™ Concrete Leveling & Lifting

The sunken and cracked concrete around your Devon home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.

Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudslurry instead of foam. Mudslurry is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel. Call us today to learn more.

We live in a split level. During any amount of heavy rain, we will get water in one section of our basement. Recently, with the amount of heavy rain we have been getting, we had water come up on our first level above the basement which is on a concrete slab. Almost the entire floor was filled with about half a centimeter of water. We also noticed small puddles on the stairs going down to the basement but it did not seem like this water flowed down the stairs. The theory is that the water is coming up through the slab but we intend to run a hose for awhile outside to find the point of entry. We will likely need to remediate both in the basement and outside the house but would of course defer to your expertise.
